Taking a metered taxi from Antalya Airport

The taxi rank is outside the terminal building and runs around the clock. Fares are worked out by the meter — an opening charge plus a rate per kilometre — and for most of the coast there is no fixed price by resort published anywhere: not by the airport, not by the local taxi cooperative. The airport’s own guidance is to check the information board at the stand rather than expect a printed fare table.

The one exception: Alanya and Gazipaşa

This is the fact worth knowing before anything else if you’re heading that far down the coast. Alanya and Gazipaşa run their own separate tariff, distinct from the ordinary meter used everywhere else from this airport — their own opening charge, their own per-kilometre rate and their own waiting charge. It has applied since early 2026.

It applies independently in each direction. A trip from the airport to Alanya and the return trip from Alanya to the airport are calculated separately under this tariff, rather than one mirroring the other. If you’re arranging transport for both legs of a stay near Alanya, don’t assume the return matches what you paid coming in.

Budget for what the meter says, not for what a search result promised.

When to book ahead instead

If a fixed price before you fly matters more to you than the ordinary metered fare — a long run down the coast, a late arrival, a group with luggage to coordinate — a pre-booked transfer is the alternative worth comparing against the meter, and it’s arranged before you land rather than negotiated after.
